Explore The Case Studies

Anterior CEREC Veneers with Esthetic Crown Lengthening

The “Golden Proportion” was disrupted due to variable interproximal bonding, chipping on incisal edges, and widely variable height to the gingival contour of those teeth...Without Solea, this case would have been sent to a specialist for traditional crown lengthening that involves heavy local anesthesia, raising a flap, use of a drill creating heat and friction, and placement of sutures.

Deep Troughing for Margin Isolation #5

This patient of record presented to the practice with a failing restoration and recurrent decay on tooth #5. The patient stated that he really disliked being numb and wanted to avoid the injection. The distal restoration was significantly subgingival. No anesthetic was used during the treatment.

Closed Crown Lengthening #9

This patient presented with tooth #9 fractured subgingivally. Evaluation revealed the fracture extended to the osseous crest. The patient was given the option of extraction and implant, or a closed, flapless crown lengthening followed by a post and core and crown.

Tissue Recontouring for Implant Restoration

A 77-year-old female patient presented to the practice with an implant on tooth #30 that was placed by a periodontist. It was a replacement for a non-ideal previously placed, failed implant. The tissue coronal to the implant interface was thick (approximately 5 mm) and would inhibit proper contours of the crown. To achieve a proper emergence profile, the dentist had to sculpt the soft tissue precisely.

Implant Uncovery on Tooth #4

This patient came in for uncovery of implant #4 and placement of healing cap to ready site for final restoration. The total chair time was less than 15 minutes versus up to 45 minutes if a scalpel and anesthesia had been used. Due to Solea’s clean surgical site, an impression was able to been taken immediately following the uncovery.

“With a focus on becoming a technology-driven office, our goal was to improve quality of care, and provide a better patient experience. In my practice we currently have almost every kind of dental technology you can think of, from 3D printers to CAD/CAM to cone beam. But one of the most pivotal moments for my practice was implementing the Solea All-Tissue Laser. This is the one piece of technology that has impacted my patients more than any.”
